Kapa Haka Exchange with Stoke School

Yesterday Stoke School came to our school for a Kapa Haka exchange. Our kapa haka groups performed for each other. Both schools sounded great. We buddied up with two children from Stoke School and had a shared lunch. After lunch we played with them. It was great fun and we met some new friends!

Giornata Italiana! - Italian Day!

Yesterday we had an Italian day. We all dressed in green, white and red. We had an Italian day because the Italian rugby team is based here in Nelson. We were also raising money for a new St John ambulance. Each class made a different Italian food for our shared lunch. We got face paint and we each brought along three dollars. The day was great and the food was delicious.

Shared Lunch

Yum that food was nice! On Thursday (9 June) Ranzau school had a heathy shared lunch. We got our buddies and helped them choose thier lunch.
We love shared lunches!!

Awesome Animation

Yesterday we did awsome animation. We had to use play dough and create a person coming out of a puddle. This is one of our awesome animation. We hope you enjoy?

Today I brought my guinea pigs to school the babes are twelve days old and the mums name is Alice. There are five babies

Kiwi Kids

On Sunday some students competed in the Weet Bix Tryathalon.
Here is what they thought:
"I liked the bike ride because I got to ride Mum's bike and it is really big!"
"I really liked the swimming because it was fun. The water was freezing!"
"I liked the bike ride because it was fun and I trained so it wasn't hard!"
"I liked the run at the end because I trained for it and still had heaps of energy left."
"It was really fun. The bike was ok, but the run was the hardest."
"My favourite thing was the bike ride because biking is fun!'
" It was really fun because it was a long bike ride and I passed a lot of people."

The Big Bush Read!!!

Today some people from TDC library came to school to award over 25 kids with the big bush holiday reading program folders. In the folders there was a book, a medal and a certificate!
What we liked about the big bush read holiday program:
"I liked the books!"
"I liked the prizes!"
"I liked getting a brand new book at the end!"
"I liked all of it!"
